A distinguished collector of fine woodcarvings commissioned David to carve a suite of four solid walnut murals, each a deep relief portrait of horse racing's greatest winners; Secretariat, Coaltown, Whirlaway, and Man-O-War seen here. Each mural has a custom matched hardwood frame, and pairs the strength and beauty of two of Kentucky's most revered natural assets - thoroughbred horses and native walnut. This is an oustanding example of the artist's most sensitive and dramatic work.
